On Que But Late To The Floor
Madonna's production, as usual, went off without a hitch. Especially in the stripped-down versions of songs, her voice was great. The biggest complaints are: (1) She did not start the show until 10:15 p.m. After sitting through an hour of a lame DJ and another hour of just sitting around after the DJ went off stage, this was frustrating. The audience was already tired and impatient by the time Madonna came on, making it hard to enjoy the show 100%. (2) In between costume changes, there was a lot of fluff where pre-recorded Madonna songs were played. Madonna only sang part of the songs during many numbers, with other parts lip-synched (probably due to her being extra careful in prancing around in high heels and elaborate outfits).
Last time I saw her about 6 years ago, the show felt more LIVE and less like a Vegas production.
